Equity Dashboard

The market closed with strong breadth and leadership from small caps, but there were also a lot of yellow flags. Bonds sold off, the dollar rallied, and volatility increased across most of our equity indices. Is this glass half empty or half full? I can’t draw a conclusion here, and that’s enough to keep me on guard into CPI.

ES_F S&P 500 Price Action Analysis

The S&P 500 shook out below the weekly value area low ~4,105 this AM before rallying all the way back up to the top of value. If you anchor on Friday’s futures close, nothing happened, but if you anchor on this morning’s lows, it feels as if we are in a voracious market rally. It all depends on your timeframe.
