Today’s session kicked off with initial jobless claims that came in lighter than expectations:

Fed Fund Futures

The markets are now pricing in a higher probability of an additional rate hike this before September, and there is less than one rate cut priced in looking ahead to December!

10Yr Treasury

ZN_F 10yr treasury futures are struggling to hold a bid as investors worry over a potential US debt default. They are approaching levels last seen before the banking crisis erupted.

SPY and QQQ advanced today, but overall market breadth was weak with only 30.7% advancers:
